Gaetano Di Stefano, one of our project partners in Italy, attended the EVA Boost Perennials workshop held on 13-14 March 2025 and gave information about our project by making a presentation. Congratulations to him.

The third general meeting of our project was held in Zaragoza, Spain in September 2024. At the meeting, information was given about the project working in the partner countries. The general situation, problems, if any, and future work were discussed.

Italian Partners Living Lab Almond Germplasm Collection Field
Italian partners organised a living lab meeting in almond germplasm collection field in Italy.
Italian Partners Live Lab Meeting
Italian partners organized a living lab in ‘Strategie per la valorizzazione della mandorlicoltura siciliana’ referred to a collaborative and dynamic research environment where researchers and farmers work together to explore, test, and implement innovative solutions for sustainable almond farming practices on December 2023. Researchers presented their latest findings and technologies, while farmers shared their insights, challenges, and needs. This constant dialogue ensures that the research conducted in the living lab remains relevant and applicable to the realities of agriculture on the ground. An average of 25 people attended the seminar and about 35 participants with Microsoft teams.
Moroccan Partners Living Lab Meeting
Morroccan partners organized one Living Lab meeting on November 2023 in Berkane, Estern of Morocco. In this meeting, they have assisted nursery producers, fruit producers and representative members of differents agricultural cooperatives dedicated to the production and transformation of almond in eastern of Morocco (cooperative Najah, cooperative Rislane, Cooperative Chark). In total, 20 participant contributed to the meeting. The main subject of the meeting was emphasized on the importance of the new rootstocks used for almond in the context of the climat changes and the drought stress experimented during the last decade in Morocco, mainly in the estern of Morocco. During this meeting we have presented the mains objectives of the projects and the results of our first experiments carried out in the
experimentatl station of the National School of Agriculture in Meknes. This meeting have contributed to present different rootstocks (Garnem, GF 677) to the growers that did not know.
Almost almond cultivars cultivated in eastern of Morocco are grafted on almond seeds (Marcona seeds). The conclusion of this meeting was the introduction of these new rootsook through the
installation of at least 2 experiment in the commercial orchards the next year.
Erciyes University Meeting
In 2023 October, coordinator and partners meeting was held in Erciyes University Turkey. Progresses and further developments about project is discussed
